New Hope of Hungary seeks to mobilize churches and build bridges to win the next generation for Christ (I Corinthians 9:. 19-26)

Building Bridges – Built to become the dwelling in which God lives by His Spirit” (Eph 2:22).

As members of God’s family, New Hope wants to contribute to the unity within the Church. New Hope recognizes its dependence on God’s Spirit in order to be of use for Kingdom advancement. Ministry starts with God’s work in, and then through His followers. New Hope works across denominations and seeks to build bridges and partnerships with churches and specialized ministries of like mind. Instead of “reinventing the wheel,” it partners with ministries Such as Focus on the Family, Home Word, BCM International, Equip, as well as cutting-edge churches and a large variety of Christian publishers. This allows New Hope’s US operations to stay lean and flexible, while providing the very best resources for the ministry in Europe.

Mobilize churches – “to prepare God’s people for works of service” (Eph 4:12).

New Hope focuses on national churches in each country, equipping them for ministry. It goes one step further and also seeks to mobilize them, getting them involved hands-on. It does so by developing local church-based ministry within the culture that becomes an acceptable model to be duplicated throughout the country.

New Hope is committed to long-term results and will get involved alongside national churches where needed, providing mentoring, evaluation, encouragement and publishing the tools needed. It also provides, where needed, an “umbrella” for ministry in the public schools, media and other avenues of ministry that otherwise may not be accessible to a particular local church or denomination.

Win the next generation: “…to win as many as possible” (I Corinthians 9:19)

New Hope’s focus is “the next generation,” which involves children, youth and families. Families are the primary influence to raise up the next generation, while the church is the second most important spiritual influence. New Hope is not a denominational outreach, starting its own churches, but it is involved in assisting national churches with an emphasis of winning the next generation for Christ, not for a particular denomination.

The ultimate goal is to win the next generation. More than seeking large numbers “reached” or “commitments,” New Hope’s emphasis, like the apostle Paul’s, is to “win” them. The emphasis is on winning over, turning around and becoming a fully devoted follower of Christ. A transformed life that is integrated in a local church, grows in spiritual maturity, and reaches out to others in need.
